Michael – The Movie

Michael – The Movie

So… I watched it. Here’s the thing… When I first moved to the US, I was appalled at how badly Michael was treated by the press and everyone else. Seems like people have forgotten, and it looks like everybody loves MJ now, but man, back then it was horrible. Like, I get it — he was accused of all those things and, despite never being found guilty… that’s a whole other thing. But it wasn’t just because of that. It was about everything Michael. Whatever he did would end up being mocked the next day. Actually, not even mocked. It was insult after insult after insult.

Granted, Michael created such a persona that it was easy to find something to pick on, but damn man, this was the greatest artist alive… I don’t know, I just couldn’t comprehend it. It was so, so, so extreme, so him leaving the country made total sense. And it looked like he had no friends and no family to rely on.

So… watching this movie, I have a hard time believing any of this. It should have been titled Jackson 5, not Michael. It feels like his family wants to forget all that and just sugarcoat Michael’s story. In the movie, Michael is always the outspoken one, and he’s the only one getting beaten up. Seems horrible, but back then that was kind of normal. Not saying it was right — I’m just saying it wasn’t shocking, and everyone knows this. If it was so bad why didn't Michael run the moment he got his first check? Yes, the family...you still can support the family, you just don't need to be in the same house with your abuser and the rest of the family who is witnessing this and says shit. So he was scared? Then explain of what? What did exactly happen? Cos at 18 and with a bodyguard he ain't scared of an ass whoopin. I'm trying to say either tell the real story or just let it go.

His attachment to books and animals looked more like a way to justify his actions in adulthood. I mean, 20 years ago it would’ve been understandable, but thanks to the internet today, Michael having animals and acting like Peter Pan doesn’t even seem that strange lol. People on social media do way stranger things that make this look normal af.

I don’t know, it all seemed very shallow and not believable. MJ had such an interesting life — they could have brought so much to life instead of trying to clean up his image. It felt like you’re on jury duty and they’re telling you how nice this guy is and why he is the way he is. Who gives a fuck? MJ was mysterious. Clearly, there had to be more than just an ass whooping to show us in a movie.

And the fact that Janet is barely even in this movie — like they literally erased him having a sister lmao. How can you trust this story? And they kept showing his bodyguard in every other scene trying to give a sense of a father figure, but it looked more like they were secretly effing lol.

Not impressed with the performances either. COME ON! I know nobody can beat Michael, but tf was that AI shit?

I’m sorry, but I don’t think people can comprehend how BIG and genius this guy was, and he deserved a genius-level movie — not people trying to milk his name in the afterlife for a few more dollars while pretending they’re doing this in his memory.

Nuh. Michael wouldn’t have approved this.

he-he!

I mean...where was all this? I got more from this fan video then the whole movie lol
