10 reasons why Carole Baskin didn't kill her husband
America has a fascination with undermining successful women, so it didn't come as a surprise when the only female protagonist on Tiger King became the villain of the show and one of the most disliked characters on TV this year. Didn't matter that all these guys had a criminal past, used and abused their employees, their animals and openly threatened Carole, as long as they were entertaining. And Carole quickly became the villain - because every show needs one - for something that had nothing to do with the show or tigers. Everybody and their internet believe she killed her husband. We...not so much. And here is 10 reasons why:
1-Well...let's start with this guy. That's her husband's attorney. He literally said what happen.
2- He had planes, didn't have a licence and flew under the radar...
3- ...and clearly was doing something illegal.
4- And whatever he was doing, was making him a lot of money. I'm gonna go with the guy who buried his gold bars on this one. So, I'm gonna say 20 million.
5- Also, because this guy likes to talk. A lot. Would he leave the van where he took off? Nope! You know why? Cos' he had a plan.
6- The plan was to disappear. That's why he started talking about divorce, told his ex to stay away from Carole, gave that lady the restraining order. And if you notice, nothing can legally incriminate Carole. It puts all the attention on her, while this guy is finalizing his plan. That's why Carole seems always so unbothered, and because maybe she was in it as well.
7- They got her diary. And all it said was "I wish there was some way out for me?" Exactly! Nothing. Because it was meant not to say anything. It was meant to add gas to the fire, but not enough to burn her. Why so? Probably because everything was nicely calculated. Just like every other fact in the case it draws attention to, without incriminating her.
8- So they got $350k each? That house they're in, has to be a lot more than a $350k house OK? That chair alone is like $1400. Now, I know that's a lot of money BUT if you really believed Carole killed your father, and she's walking around free and with your money..Yeah! Is not gonna do it. Bitch, we're fighting! Unless..you're in it as well.
9- Per final thought. There's two assumptions here coming from Joe and the ex and two facts coming from the investigator and the attorney. Why wouldn't the attorney "go there"?
10- Right! Can't say he didn't warn him!
Now, these are all real people so any assumption no matter how fictional, it makes me feel bad, but since they all put it out there, I guess let them have it.
Here's what I believe happened. Guy got in some trouble and wanted a way out. A realtor who owns an animal farm, several planes, carries a gun, buries gold, with an attorney who speaks like he worked for the local mafia. Eh, va be! He decided to leave everything to Carole as long as she helped him with his plan. Money wasn't an issue since, remember he had all that gold buried around and Carole probably didn't know about it. So they planned everything to look like Carole had something to do with his disappearance but there's no evidence so she'd be safe. And while investigators are looking into it, this guy is far off.
Then, helped spread rumours (Thanks Joe!), that she fed him to the tigers, so whoever was looking for him really thought Carole did it and got away with it. I mean, millions do think so after watching the story on Netflix. There! Everybody wins! Even Joe. He got to be famous.
