Albanian TOP11/2023

I love our music and we have great artists that constantly produce hit songs which you probably have heard on social media without knowing they're Albanians. But we're here. Not many of us, but enough to leave our mark. I think, the main factor of their success is because the music business in Albania is a little bit non-formal. We don't have major music labels or the studio/label/radio/media/stream/market system, everything is kind of there but not really. Is very independent. Meaning, as an artist you have to find your own way into composers, studios, venues, market etc. Seems rough because it is, but also very productive for an artist. You are part of the process from A to the Z, but most importantly, everything you put out there is all you. No labels telling you this or that, no managers, no PR trying to change who you are, or your ideas and so on. And that I think  has worked in their favor and has proven to be  quite successful. So... what was the trend in Albanian music this year? Well, what I like to call turli (stew) (the fuck I keep thinking turshi (pickle) for?! Like, kept correcting that three times already ugh.) Anyway, what that means is a mix of Albanian folk with any other popular genre and the result is catchy af songs that you'll be listening for a month straight. So, be aware!  Here's some of our year's favorites in no particular order.
