JLo said don’t Fück with me and ppl were like OK! Bye!

More often than sometimes, it’s better to keep your thoughts to yourself. Especially, if you’re a pop star from a different era. Not to be an ass, but things these days work quite differently than 26 years ago. Your label can’t really do much, you can’t command the media and while “depends who you know” is still relevant, yet it can change in a quick second. Since everybody has a way to express themselves to the world through social media, a lot of people have found their hidden talents of reporting, being funny, good at investigating or as much as just telling a good story. And all of them know they are not here for a long time, just long enough to share a thought that when added to 1m+ views and likes (depending on the clouds in the sky) can be damaging or helpful. Lots of young stars know this and just like you have noticed, are staying away from social media, posting mostly promotional stuff and rarely engaging. This should have been a warning to JLo, who for some reason became a target. And while usually after a week all the hate starts to simmer down, this wasn't the case with her. Mostly because she kept feeding them. It was strange but also understandable. JLo is  at that celebrity stage, where you think you can’t do no wrong, because you’ve been successful for so long and it seems justifiable. Well, usually that’s when your management tells you to take a break. Instead, she had movies out, music out, tour, got married…she was just handing herself over. It’s not that it was wrong, that’s literally her job, but you kinda need to read the room. It started with her documentary, with her saying when she lived in the block and etc. People started making fun of her because of this and to be fair both sides were wrong. I lived a stop away from her, and yes it was one of those places where people got their gold necklaces (yes necklaces, not chains) stolen from their necks. While I don’t know what it’s like now, people who live there now are seeing that area from their perspective and not hers -Bronx in the ‘90s. So, yeah! You’re wrong for thinking she’s bs. At the same time, she’s been holding to this narrative longer than she’s lived there and it’s like STUHP! Lmao! But, does she really deserves all this hate? Nope! No matter how much you dislike someone, you have to respect them for making it. I don’t care how talentless or pretty or help you think they got to get where they are. We all use what we have and if someone makes it, you don’t have to like them, but you have to respect their game. Now is; she’s rude, she can’t sing, she’s horrible and so on. Oh stfu! This generation is acting like moral police to everything past their bedtime while doing literally everything under the sun. JLo didn’t get famous, because she had great vocals, we know that. She became famous, because her “whole package” was done so fucking amazingly well when she debuted, there wasn’t a person who could say anything bad about it. I remember she had the best fucking website EVAHHHH! 6 line was literally the first subway line to get modern trains which I always said it was because of her album lololol. I stand by it! Her success put a lot of latin artists on the map and started a whole new era. She was one of the few celebrities in the ‘90s-‘00s to constantly do big numbers in albums and movies at the same time. I mean she worked her ass off, like literally. And for people to be so horrible and write that off so easily is not acceptable. I don’t understand where this idea that talentless people can become famous comes from?! People watch two Netflix documentaries and suddenly are experts on entertainment business, not realizing that is also a product being sold to you. Like tf you don’t get?! This whole JLo thing, is a teachable moment, that social media is out of control …for now. It may change in the future, people might get used and not take it seriously, but for NOW maybe don’t ask people to not fuck with you and maybe take a step back and just stop fucking with them. Seems wise.

Ps. As for this Ben Affleck drama. I’m sorry BUT if I take my partner to any work or not work related event and he always pulls a bitch face or like he don’t want to be there…then fuck him and his moods. I get love blah blah blah but man give some fucking respect. Especially when is constant. Like what is wrong with you?! You’re here for me. Can’t you be happy for me, can’t you even do that for fucking two hours?! Well, that’s his face. Change it then! You’re a fucking actor tf! Poor you, gotta go at Golden Globes! The sufferrrring lol.
